Sharon’s love for helping others with their health developed as she watched her mother care for the needy as a nurse. This interest transformed into a love of natural health care and was cultivated by her very first caring chiropractor who encouraged her to pursue chiropractic or massage therapy. Sharon chose massage therapy as her career and attended massage therapy school in Arizona finishing in 1987. In 2006 she joined the Popwell-Scota team and has loved serving our patients ever since. “There are so many benefits to massage therapy…” Sharon says, “ I am not sure I could list them all. However, overall it definitely promotes a drug-free, pain-free and surgery-free lifestyle.” In addition to her love for massage therapy, Sharon enjoys hiking, walking along the beach, reading, learning more about health and of course receiving her own massage! Sharon cares deeply for each of her patients and always desires to encourage them physically but also spiritually as she prays for each patient.
Delores launched her career in massage therapy with a simple goal to earn some extra income, but soon it became her full-time career as her love for the practice grew. She received her training from Greenville School of Therapeutic Massage in 2001 and has been a team member of Popwell-Scota Spine Center since 2014. She is certified in deep tissue massage, medical massage, and reflexology and is an MSA technician. “Pain relief and a sense of well-being,” Delores says, “are the biggest benefits I see in massage therapy.” In addition to her love for massage, Delores loves to spend her time reading, going on walks and learning new things.
As the newest member of our team, Anna’s love for massage therapy developed as a young girl. She enjoyed helping her dad by walking on his back and her mom by rubbing her feet. Everyone always told her she gave great back/shoulder massages so she decided if she was still interested she would attend massage therapy school after finishing at the university she was attending. Pursuing her passion, she did go on to graduate from Carolina School of Massage and Wellness Center in March of 2016. Right after graduation she joined our team and has aided so many patients already. Anna acknowledges: “I definitely learned through personal health struggles that massage therapy was a far more beneficial natural option than dealing with pain solely with prescription medication. Massage therapy has transformed my lifestyle.” Anna loves caring for her patients but also enjoys other life things: reading, hiking, writing and biking. She also enjoys some quiet time at Starbucks with a good cup of tea!
